What’s It Like Fishing Myrtle Beach & Murrells Inlet?

It’s shallow creeks, beachside wrecks, and deep blue water—all in one place.

Murrells Inlet is one of the best launching points on the South Carolina coast. Just minutes from Myrtle Beach, you can be casting to redfish in a marsh creek, trolling for king mackerel off the beach, or chasing tuna offshore—all in the same day.

Inshore trips here are dialed in. You’ll fish oyster beds, grass lines, and tidal flats where redfish, trout, flounder, and black drum stack up. The water’s calm, the scenery’s wild, and the action is steady.

Nearshore trips take you just outside the inlet to target cobia, king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, and spadefish around nearshore wrecks and reefs. It’s close, it’s fun, and it often feels like cheating.

Offshore trips are the big run—deeper water, bigger fish. From snapper and grouper to mahi, wahoo, and tuna, these are full-send trips for anglers ready to go the distance.
Wherever we fish, we go where the bite is.
